Over the last couple of terms a group of senior students have been planting a whole heap of potatoes, garlic and mint. Ella, Mya, Mackenzie, and Kaede have been busy painting and doing up a Grey Main School Garden Cart which was built by a group of senior students a couple of years ago. Yesterday we were lucky enough to finally be able to sell some product from the garden. We made $110 from the potatoes and we sold most of our garlic to the friends and family of Grey Main School. It was a lot of fun and we are already thinking about what other produce we can plant for next year.
We finally got there .I bet there were some tasty dinner plates last night. Minted new potatoes with butter not to mention the fresh garlic. We have a fantastic crop of garlic this year thanks to Mr Meek.
ReplyDeleteThe stall looked great-thanks to previous year 8's and the present year 8's who completed it . A great effort to those who looked after the spuds.Mr B
